We keep hearing how everybody
misses Therapy, how they miss the music, the cool crowd,
the madness and special moments we had while it was in
Braamfontein.
It was very clear from previous
“Special” Therapy events that the brand still has very
strong and loyal support, and until Therapy finds
a suitable new venue as a permanent home, they will
continue with “Special” Therapy events and tours at
changeable venues.

Enjoy the ever evolving and finely
tuned Carfax venue, tailored specially for
Therapy needs, with 2 thumping dancefloors bringing you
the world famous vocal funky house sounds of “Therapy
– Lite” on the outside floor, and dirty filthy
elektro house sounds on the main floor, as Therapy
introduces “Shock Therapy” to it’s musically
inclined and sexually charged clubbing community.
The fiercest dj line up with

Two of the country’s biggest nightclub brands will come
together to host the hottest party of the year – the
“Special” Therapy - Hot X Buns - mega-event – on April
5, 2007 at Carfax, Johannesburg (the next day is a
public holiday). This promises to live up to being a
truly “Special” Therapy party.
Four years after the legendary poly-sexual club in
Braamfontein closed its doors, the iconic Therapy brand
continues to resonate with party-goers. Still remembered
– locally and internationally – as the city’s most
cutting-edge nightclub, Therapy lives on with its annual
and much-anticipated Special Therapy parties.
This year, things are a little different; Therapy has
been joined by the proverbial ‘new kid on the block’,
Queer City Productions – best known for their very
stylish & popular monthly Sandton-based Qc events.
Together, these two party giants will be thumping
Jo’burg into dance-floor submission with the country’s
finest DJs, the newest global dance sounds and an
international special guest.
Expect to be welcomed by past Therapy “celebrity door
whores” before embarking on a pilgrimage to dance
nirvana and a wonderful and seldom felt sense of
“Clubbing Wellness”. The party will boast two
dance-floors featuring nearly all the original Therapy
Dj crew as well as introducing the new Therapy dance
floor brand: “Shock” Therapy.
The ‘vocal funky house’ grooves of Therapy Lite will be
featured on the outside floor thanks to Patrick Talmadge,
Thelma Klensch, Groovy Q, DJ Fluid and Rude Rory; while
the main floor will be filled by ‘dirty filthy elektro
house’ sounds featuring Therapy originator Stuart
Hillary, Alan Inferno, Delon Palm, Sista C and Russel
LDQ.
The main floor’s line-up will be headed by international
guest DJ/producer Luke Hope – direct from London. Not
just a pretty face, the gorgeous Hope has played at the
world’s biggest dance parties, and is resident at some
of London’s famed hotspots including Salvation, Discotec,
Barcode, Crash and Fiction. International Guest Sets &
Annual Residencies include: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Rio
de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, San Francisco, New York, Taipei,
Manila, Bali, Singapore, Jakarta, Sydney and Moscow.
